Why Most Of The Engineering Graduates in India Are Not Getting Job?

Recently, one of my friends was telling if we get job in the campus interview, we are lucky, otherwise our life is a nightmare. After spending nearly two years for finding job, he recently got a job as a software engineer in a small IT company in Bangalore with only 8000 Rs/month. This is not only the situation of my friend, this is the situation of thousands of engineering graduates in India. While they are continuously failing to get job, the loan increases, hope decreases (if they would’ve taken education loan).

Corporate companies believe students learnt in reputed colleges can have better subject knowledge and hold better communication skills. In reality, it is true as well. So all the companies don’t conduct campus interview in all colleges, which makes students who completed course in tier II and tier III cities strive hard to get the job. Let’s see other major reasons.

Others are doing, So I am doing: In India, a normal engineering student is studying engineering because everybody is doing so and even his/her parents also feel the same. Because of this myth, they even can’t complete the course. Though they complete, they just come out with average marks, not knowledge required to fulfill the demand of employers. In the same persons, there may be good economists, accounting specialists and writers. Because of the blind myth, they waste an average of 2 years to come to their line.

Also read: What to do when amount gets debited in ATM, but no money?

Lack of Quality Education: In most of the schools and colleges in India, education is book-centric (sad to say). Syllabus are more focused on the board, not on the device, around 75% time is spent on the theory, whereas only 25% is on the device. If it is made at least 60:40, employers can get the required employees.

If it is information technology, the system tries to teach many programming languages, but when coming out of the course, most of the students don’t come with minimal expertise or at least a good understanding of at least one language. Only a very few percent of engineering graduates are suitable for software/product roles and capable to handle core engineering tasks.

Generally, an IT engineering student is taught C, C++, Oracle, Java, .net and many other programming languages in the span of four years. Instead, at least one language is reserved for 2 years (or at least for 1 year), he/she can achieve better grip on that.

More Production, Less Demand: India produces around 1.5 million (15 lakhs) engineers every year with 4000 institutes. Right now, India is producing more engineers than US and China together. Over the last 10 years, there is a 200% increase in both admission and pass out of engineering students. But the GDP of India has increased only 105% over the last 10 year. Here the demand is lesser than supply. In this scenario, how everybody can get placed!

Lack of Minimal Communication Standard: Though English is not a core in software production, it is definitely a major drawback as most of the elements in IT are English painted.

The above problems are not just in Information Technology, it also is strongly rooted in all Engineering departments and students, but more in IT.

If you feel the above thoughts are true, share your opinions in the comment section and share the content on Facebook and your other favorite social media channels, so which can help others know about the current engineering scenario.

Your suggestions are also welcome.

Thithi Kannada Movie Review

  • Rating: 3.5/5
  • Cast: Channegowda, Thammegowda S, Singri Gowda, HN Abhishek, Pooja SM
  • Director: Raam Reddy
  • Theme: Family cum socio drama
  • Language: Kannada (with English subtitles)

Thithi is a kind of movie that gives a feeling of what you are seeing on the screen that all are natural and happening before you. Directed by debutante Raam Reddy, Thithi is centered on the thithi (funeral celebration) of Century Gowda who dies at 101. The film shows how the grandson of Century Gowda, Thammanna, tries to sell property of his grandfather through a illegal way as his father Gaddappa (elder son of Century Gowda) refuses to sign for property.

The love story of Thammanna son Abhi with girl called Cauvery, is another face of the movie that moves along with the main plot. What Thammanna will do to sell the property? And will he succeed in that? This is the rest of the story. All these happen between the day of Century Gowda’s death and funeral celebration day.

Performance:

Gaddappa character Channegowda is the main attraction of the movie, whenever he occupies the screen he will keep you entertained, whereas Abhi’s natural body language and his efforts to attract Cauvery creates some instant smiles on your face. Thammanna is a serious character, who speaks very naturally throughout the movie, did a decent job. And the remaining characters including a wealthy man who takes property from Thammanna, are also so natural , delivered decent performance.

Specials:

When comes to the specials, natural scenes and dialogues come in the first place of the row. Fun, drama and greediness that can be seen in most of the families of the village can be seen in Thithi. Somewhere movie seems bit dragged, but it suddenly  picks up the acceleration.

Final verdict:

If you want to see a movie that gives fresh feelings, then Thithi can be a good watch. For Mandya and North Karnataka people, Thithi will definitely be a memorable watch as the movie is centered on Mandya locales and some Hubli characters are presented. For people of other parts of the world, Thithi is a decent watch. People of any language can easily understand this several national and international award-winning movie as its story and screenplay are clutter-free.

When coming out of the theater, you will definitely bring some smiles. If you are a person who hates art movies, think before heading towards theater. But some entertainment is sure.

If you’ve watched the movie or want to watch, please put comment below and share anywhere.

Why BJP Lost Bihar in 2015 Legislative Assembly Election?

Overview of 2015 Bihar Assembly Election

Parties

  • Grand Alliance (JDU + RJD + INC)
  • NDA (BJP + LJP + RLSP + HAM)
  • Left Parties
  • Socialist Secular Morcha

Total number of seats – 243

Seats Needed for a Majority – 122

Seats Won by Parties in Bihar Assembly Election 2015:

  • Grand Alliance – 178 (JDU (71) + RJD (80) + INC (27))
  • NDA – 58 (BJP (53) + LJP (2) + RLSP (2) + HAM (1))
  • Left Parties – 3
  • Socialist Secular Morcha – 0
  • Independents – 4

The Election for Bihar Legislative Assembly 2015 was held in four phases between 12 October 2015 and 5 November 2015. The result of the election was announced on 8 November 2015. Ex. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar led Grand Alliance came to the power with grand 178 seats by defeating BJP led NDA.

Why BJP Lost the Election Badly?

Before the election result was announced, it was expected that the BJP led NDA would come to the power facing a tight competition from the Grand Alliance. When the result came out, the BJP was in down of the earth, and the Grand Alliance was at top of the peak. Why the election got complete reverse outcome? Why BJP was defeated badly?

Top Reasons for the BJP’s defeat in Bihar Election:

When we go to seek a reason for BJP’s defeat, the lack of prominent local leader in the place comes first:

Lack of Prominent Local Leader: During the election, Sushil Modi was highlighted as the CM candidate of BJP. Though Sushil Modi is one of the BJP leaders in Bihar, he was not as popular as Nitish Kumar or Lalu Prasad Yadav. In other words, BJP didn’t highlight Sushil Modi as the CM candidate. The lack of prominent local leader was also a major cause for BJP’s defeat in Delhi’s Assembly Election earlier this year.

You can ask, although the BJP hadn’t had a prominent leader in Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly Elections in 2014, how BJP won the election? The reason is simple, there were no popular leaders in BJP, right, likewise there were also no popular leaders in the opposition parties. This election has taught BJP well that what happens if being dependent on Modi’s Hava only without a strong local leader. So, it is time for BJP to learn from the mistakes.

Nitish’s Improved Performance in the Rule:

One of the reasons for BJP’s success in Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Haryana elections was existing government’s corruption. But, that was not the case with Nitish’s government in Bihar. Even his ardent opponents agreed on his work for Bihar’s development. Especially, Nitish’s work in increasing the power supply for rural areas for 15-20 hours was well admired by voters. Also, Nitish was well known for his strong governance and integrity.
